Blue Grama Grass

Blue Grama is an easily recognizable grass due to the curved, hook-like seed head at the very top of the stalk.  The stalk of this grass is hollow, much like a reed.  Blue Grama can grow up to 20 inches (1.6 feet) in height, but usually only reaches a height of 1 foot.  Blue Grama is the state grass for both New Mexico and Colorado.
