Northern Harrier

This medium-sized raptor flies low over tall grasslands and marshes looking for its meal.  Using both auditory and visual cues, it locates its prey.  Harriers often capture there prey with their talons, and fly away without landing.  Their nests are located on the ground in tall, dense clumps of vegetation found in tall-grass prairies.
