Pronghorn Antelope These small, 4-foot antelope are gregarious mammals found mainly in short-grass prairies. Two sets of split, branched horns give these antelope their name. Their light brown and white coloration helps them blend in with the prairie grasses and reflects the sun’s rays to keep the Pronghorn cool. When a predator such as a coyote or wolf spots the Pronghorn, it may have a hard time keeping up with the antelope’s 60 mph dash.
