Red Fox

The red fox is recognizable by its bright orange fur and big bushy tail, although some red foxes are actually dark gray or silver.  This fox feeds not only on meat, but also insects, berries, and fruit.  Even though the red fox is the favorite quarry of foxhunters, its ability to evade its pursuers has enabled this species to flourish in many areas of the United States.
