Welcome to the New Mexico Bird Conservation Plan Version 1.0. This was last updated April 2001. Updates and edits were made in virtually all sections.  This document is currently being updated further so please check back soon for this revised 2006 version.

Below are links to each section of the New Mexico Bird Conservation Plan. Each "habitat" is separated for ease of printing should you want a hard copy. We appreciate any comments on this document. Such as correcting or adding information about specific birds, habitat management techniques and effects on birds, new references etc. Please send comments to Scott Norris at: snorris@swcp.com or send hard copy comments to Scott Norris at: 4816 McKnight NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.

If you submit comments please also include how you would like your name to be acknowledged and if the organization which you work for should be acknowledged. In your comments if you have any references for your information please send along the citation as well.

This document is ready for general citation. Sections will be updated as changes are made to the plan, through focus groups and regular editing. If you would like to cite this document for use in a funding proposal such as "this study falls within the research recommendations in NM PIF" permission is granted as long as you notify NM Partners in Flight of the proposal. Permission for citation for any other reason must be requested by writing Scott Norris.
